Hi! I love to teach and am excited to share tips and tools with you!

Welcome to Nurses2Teachers! My name is Beth and I have been a nurse for over 20 years! What I love most about nursing is the diversity.

Many nurses know what they like best about nursing and stick with it to become experts in their specialty. Some enjoy changing focus because there are so many options.

Then there are those who love to teach! The profession of nursing offers a variety of career opportunities - yet I have not met a nurse who does not enjoy learning and teaching!

In 2004, I had my first experience as a nurse educator with a group of third semester students in the clinical setting. I fell in love with teaching!

By 2006, I decided to pursue a graduate degree in order to specialize in education. While I was going to school, I coordinated a Nurse Extern program.

As part of my studies, I revitalized a Mentor program in order to prepare nurses to mentor student-employees. During this time I learned so much about teaching and had a desire to build a website so I could share.

Here it is! Look around, enjoy, and share with others. Let me know what you would like to know more about and check back often as this is, as one of my colleagues says, a work in progress!

About Beth

I am the founder of Nurses2Teachers.com. I began my nursing education at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona and have come full circle to teach at Yavapai!

In 2008, I earned a Master’s degree in Nursing: Leadership in Healthcare Systems and a post-graduate certificate in Healthcare Education from Regis University, Denver, CO.

With 10 semesters of clinical nursing instruction at the Associate's degree level and more than 10 years experience in staff development, my experience has been on both 'sides' of nursing education.

My clinical experience has been varied but primarily in the medical-surgical, acute care environment. One of my favorite clinical experiences was making home visits on patients newly discharged from the hospital.

I currently hold a position as Allied Health Faculty at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona. I teach courses in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Legal/Ethical Issues, Medical Terminology, and Nursing Assistant training. BethBazevage.com
